What is COP and COP30?
The COP (Conference of the Parties on Climate Change) is an annual meeting where global leaders discuss solutions to the climate crisis and assess progress in combating carbon emissions. The event is essential for defining environmental policies and aligning countries with the goals of the Paris Agreement.
COP30, which will take place in 2025, will be the 30th edition of this conference and will play a crucial role in reviewing global commitments to limit global warming. This time, the event will be held in the heart of the Amazon, in Belém do Pará, placing the rainforest at the center of global environmental discussions.
