OVERVIEW
Green Meet is an annual event that aims to share technical and scientific knowledge about sustainability. In this second edition, the theme will be "Amazonia in focus: Opportunities and challenges towards COP 30".
The Amazon is recognized as a fundamental ecosystem for regulating the global climate and is home to unique biodiversity. However, it faces serious problems related to deforestation, environmental degradation and climate change. COP 30 is an important conference to discuss actions to preserve the region and seek sustainable alternatives for its development.
Green Meet brings together experts, scientists, researchers and activists in an inclusive space to discuss solutions to the challenges facing the Amazon. The objective of Green Meet is to stimulate dialogue and collaboration between different actors, seeking solid partnerships for the protection, restoration and sustainability of the region. The event aims to inspire concrete actions that preserve biodiversity, respect indigenous and traditional peoples and promote a low-carbon economy.
Everyone is invited to participate in the Green Meet, in person or virtually, to join efforts towards a better future for the Amazon and for future generations. The idea is to transform challenges into opportunities, building a fairer, healthier and more balanced world for everyone. Welcome to the 2nd Edition of Green Meet 2023 - Amazon in focus: Opportunities and challenges towards COP 30.
Together, we will make a difference!
